Operating since 2013 Chalkboard Catering was founded by Wayne Laidlaw and Lorraine Woodward.

Our site Managers and Canteen Assistants are fully trained and accredited in the operation of canteen services.
We recruit our staff to suit the colleges requirements ensuring they understand the ethos of the college and the college community and have a strong focus on customer service.
All Employees have Working with Children Checks and hold current Food Safety Handlers Certificates; Managers hold Food Safety Supervisor’s Certificate and Allergyn Certificates.
Our dedicated Managers are able to work autonomously representing the company and have direct 24/7 access to senior company management so they can respond to any given situation.
Our work sites have current Covid-19 work safe plans.
Inspired in his youth by adventure novels, Wayne left home at an early age and joined the Navy to travel the world. Trained as a chef, Wayne quickly developed passions for Food, Travel and Photography. Wayne won Gold and Silver in Salon Culinaires and Gold in Defence Tri-Service competitions. He has also featured in Good Food and Wine and Country Living Magazine publications.
On leaving the Navy Wayne went back to school and studied Advanced Business and Hospitality Management. On completion Wayne joined Spotless Services where he spent the next 13 years in Managerial and Operational positions further developing and diversifying his experience and skills.
Wayne in 2013, along with Lorraine Woodward, creating Chalkboard Catering. Together they have built a successful business which continues to grow through investing in new technology, healthy menu development and strong college community relationships.

Chalkboard Catering produce the majority of menu items fresh on-site, and have a selection of Healthy Nutritional food choices.Our Pre-Order Lunch forms and our On-Line Lunch Order App give students and staff greater flexibility of individual choice
Our online lunch order app is designed to allow Parents, Teachers, Admin Staff and Students to place lunch orders via their smart phone, android, ipad, Tablet etc.
Simply download the app onto your device, sign up, place your order.
The app gives you options to order from the Hot, Cold and Beverage Menu. The site manager will advertise daily specials and discount combos.
Pay as you go or pay cash on collection. Lunch Orders must be in by 8:30am on the day you require the order.
When registering, please register in your childs name so orders can be place in their name.
Parents can place order the night before.
